LaFontsee Gallery teams with Helen DeVos Children's Hospital to fill hospital halls with healing art
The Grand Rapids Press: "We would take proposals from just about anywhere," LaFontsee said. "This 'Call for Ideas' is directed toward anyone who has a valid idea that in the end will be something that's useful. We need to come up with enough variety to fill 14 floors. The challenge is to find enough diversity to accommodate the size and scale."

Helen DeVos Children's Hospital chooses local 
After a national search, Helen DeVos Children's Hospital has selected Grand Rapids-based LaFontsee Galleries as the art consultant for its new 14-floor hospital slated to open in 2011. With over twenty years of consulting and supplying art for healthcare, corporate & hospitality organizations, LaFontsee Galleries will now provide and frame all artwork for the new hospital, partnering with other local organizations to create children's art specifically for the $286 million building.
